CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster

Top tier • SureStart Plus warranty access

CertainTeed's Select ShingleMaster is their highest contractor designation. It requires documented CertainTeed installation volume, current licensing, and crew training through CertainTeed's credentialing program.

The primary benefit for homeowners: access to the SureStart Plus warranty, CertainTeed's premium extended warranty covering materials and workmanship. A Select ShingleMaster contractor can register your system for SureStart Plus, which is transferable if you sell the home — a documented selling point in Bay Area real estate transactions.

CertainTeed products are common in Tri-Valley HOA communities (Pleasanton, Walnut Creek, Dublin) where color and profile consistency across a development is required. The Select ShingleMaster certification confirms installation to CertainTeed's standards.

GAF Master Elite

Top 3% of roofers nationwide • Golden Pledge warranty access

GAF Master Elite is the highest designation GAF awards to roofing contractors — and only 3% of roofers in the U.S. qualify. To earn it, a contractor must be properly licensed and insured, maintain a good standing record, and demonstrate commitment to ongoing training. GAF re-evaluates status annually.

The top-tier warranty unlocked by Master Elite status is the GAF Golden Pledge: a lifetime limited warranty on the GAF roofing system, backed by 25-year non-prorated coverage on workmanship. The Golden Pledge is one of the strongest roofing warranties available from any manufacturer in the country.

For homeowners replacing an older roof — especially in Sacramento and Roseville where 1980s–1990s housing stock is common — the Golden Pledge represents a meaningful long-term protection on a $15,000–$30,000 investment.

GAF Solar Certified is a separate certification from GAF Master Elite, earned through GAF's solar installation training program. Very few roofing contractors hold both simultaneously — it requires demonstrated competency in roofing and in the installation of solar panel systems on GAF substrates.

Owens Corning Preferred Contractor

Owens Corning Preferred status is earned through licensing verification, insurance compliance, and demonstrated installation volume. OC Preferred contractors can register homeowners for the Owens Corning Platinum Protection warranty — one of the broadest extended warranties OC offers.

Holding an OC certification alongside GAF and CertainTeed certifications means NuShake is not locked into a single manufacturer. If a homeowner has an existing OC system and wants a matching material, or if OC's pricing is better for a specific job, we can install and warranty it properly.
