- Free estimate: The owner or a senior crew lead walks the roof and measures it, checking for leaks, flashing failures (the metal seals at roof joints), deck rot, and ventilation issues. You get a written price. No obligation. For an adjuster-ready or real-estate-ready photo report, our documented inspection is $349 in the Central Valley or $525 in the Bay Area.
- Written, line-itemized quote: The quote spells out the material, the system, and the warranty tier. It lists any needed upgrades — vent replacement, deck repair, or kickout flashing (metal that steers wall runoff into the gutter). We work with all major insurance carriers. Financing is available through Service Finance for qualified homeowners.
- Tear-off: The old roof comes off completely. We never lay new shingles over old — that voids warranties and traps moisture. Debris loads straight to the truck, never onto your landscaping.
- Deck check: With the roof off, we inspect the deck (the plywood or board layer under the roof) for rot and soft spots. Any repair is documented with photos.
- Install: We add ice-and-water shield at the eaves and valleys, then synthetic underlayment across the rest. New step flashing, new pipe boots (the seals around vent pipes), and ridge and eave ventilation to Title 24 (the state energy code). We follow the manufacturer-tested assembly so the full warranty qualifies. The nailing pattern is verified for Valley wind exposure.
- Cleanup: We run a magnetic sweep of your yard and driveway to pull stray nails.
- Final walkthrough: The owner walks the finished roof with you. We register the manufacturer warranty and add a written NuShake workmanship warranty on top.
